Backend Developer (PHP and Laravel)-BLUE WAVES MEDIA
About the Role
Blue Waves Media is looking for a skilled PHP Laravel Backend Developer to build, maintain, and optimize scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience with Laravel and MySQL, along with a good understanding of REST APIs and modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems
- Optimize database queries and application performance
- Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in PHP and Laravel development
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP, Laravel Framework, and MVC architecture
- Experience with MySQL and database optimization
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and third-party API integration
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Knowledge of authentication, security, and application deployment
Preferred Skills
Payment gateway integrations, Redis, queues, caching, AWS/cloud hosting, Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
Work Location: In-office (Kolkata).
